Butyl rubber liners became more popular in the "60's", though they've been in use since the 1940's as reservoir liners.

EPDM Firestone PondGard® is a synthetic rubber material that is made for ponds and fish ponds.

No anti-bacterial or anti-fungicide additives are added to this fish safe material. You can be sure your pond liner material will be a safe, healthy aquatic environment for all of your freshwater aquatics!
